Survey Event Summaries
Overview
In summer of 2026, Survey Event Summaries will launch, providing a new modern platform with better security and a better user experience for reviewing sampling events within a project.
New features
Workflows have been streamlined into one page, minimizing clicks needed to complete a task and eliminating the need to select a project each time a user navigates to a different function.
Implemented pagination for large datasets to improve performance and usability.
Smoother transition between projects.
Deprecated features
Removed the SFBAYRAILS project-specific page from the application, as it was non-functional. The SFBAYRAILS summaries are now available in the standard Secretive Marshbird view.
Removed the Transect summaries from the application, as it was not fully-functional and represents a small portion of the data sets in the AKN.
Removed download HTML, DOC, and PDF download formats (retained CSV).
Removed the ability to view data details for an event within this application. Instead, a link is provided to the event proofing page in Biologists.
Removed the ability to change the data sharing level for an event within this application. Project Leaders should use the Data Sharing Levels application instead.
Changed features
Streamlined workflows with less overlap of information.
Improved distinction between Point Count surveys and Secretive Marshbird surveys in the views.
Survey event summary functions have been consolidated into one application instead of having a separate application for each survey type.
Improved default sorting of table views.
The old links will be deprecated. Please update any links you have to the new link: Survey Event Summaries
