Password reset for AKN users

The AKN supports several account types. Please use the table of contents to find the account that best matches your use case and follow the appropriate instructions.

I have an email ending in “pointblue.org” (Point Blue Conservation Science staff)

 

Visit your Okta dashboard and reset your password there.

I have an email ending in “fws.org” (USFWS Staff)

 

Follow your organization’s provided guidance for resetting your account password

I have access to a project listed under the USFWS program (USFWS official collaborators)

 

You must reset your login.gov password by using the official instructions provided at their website: https://www.login.gov/help/trouble-signing-in/forgot-your-password/

I have an email that doesn’t match any of the cases above (most users)

 

Follow these steps to reset your password

  1. Go to the Biologists application https://data.pointblue.org/science/biologists/#

    1. If you are signed in when you arrive at the page, use the "Logout" link at the bottom of the page to log out. This will log you out and then send you back to the sign in page.

    2. If you're not logged in, you'll simply arrive at the Login page with no additional steps.

    3. Once you arrive at the login page while being signed out, you can reset your password.

  2. Add your email address where prompted and use the "Enter" button to proceed.

  3. Click the prompt on the screen that says "Forgot your password?".

  4. Enter your email address to receive a verification code.

  5. Enter your verification code and new password.

Note: You may not use a previously-used password!
